Phil Chesters

Sports Rehabilitator

Phil specialises in assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, helping individuals to return to playing their sport, or to their desired level of activity and function. He has experience treating elite athletes in a variety of sports ranging from triathletes and ultrarunners to rugby and football players, swimmers and gymnasts, as well as the general public. Taking the rehab from the clinical environment into the gym and out on the field where recovery can be more functional.

Phil creates bespoke rehabilitation programmes, and carefully monitors the individuals progress throughout their rehab process to ensure a successful and positive outcome.

Phil has over 12 years of clinical experience specialising in musculoskeletal injury assessment and management, overseeing exercise based rehabilitation and outcomes. 3 years spent working alongside the NHS major trauma teams, providing practical rehabilitation advice.

As well as being busy with Sports Rehab, Phil is a professional English Rugby Union player, making his name at Ealing Trailfinders where he was also part of the medical staff. Previously, he has worked with the New Zealand (All Blacks) Rugby Union squad and ACT Brumbies Super Rugby squad providing soft tissue treatment as part of a recovery team. Phil has had his own personal rehab journey, so is more than qualified and experienced in this area to ensure you are back to where you need to be.
